What is the Weekly Rhythm?

At Fresh Start, we believe growth happens through intentional rhythms. Each week, we walk through a four-step journey that helps us live out our faith with purpose. This rhythm ensures that each week is intentional and balanced, helping you stay connected to God, His people, and His mission. This cyclical flow illustrates the continuous journey of spiritual growth and community engagement at Fresh Start Church.

Worship in Community (Weekly Worship Experience)

Refuel with the Word and worship as a church family. All the while finding your place to serve and learning the discipline of tithes and offerings.

When: Sundays

Focus: Assemble together as a community to encounter God through worship, teaching, prayer and communion.

  • Participate in spirit-filled worship and hear the Word preached to inspire and transform.
  • Take notes on how the message applies to your personal life and community.
  • Create moments of reflection during and after the service to let the message sink in.

Key Scripture: Hebrews 10:25 “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the day approaching.”

Process Together in a LOOP (Small Groups)

Engage with your LOOP to share, learn and grow in faith together.

When: Weekly (weeknight or other convenient times)

Focus: Grow deeper in your faith with a small group of believers for support, accountability and prayer.

  • Discuss the weekly sermon, study the Bible and share personal insights.
  • Pray for each other’s needs and celebrate testimonies of God’s work.
  • Build authentic relationships through transparency and encouragement.

Key Scripture: Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Devotion

Divert daily. Connect with God individually to deepen your personal relationship. This is where you build devotion to God. Devotion is established through discipline.

When: Daily (morning, midday or evening)

Focus: Spend intentional time alone with God in prayer, Scripture and meditation.

  • Set aside 15 to 30 minutes each day for devotionals, Bible reading and worship.
  • Use tools like the YouVersion Bible app, prayer journals or devotionals.
  • Reflect on God’s Word and listen for His guidance for the day.

Key Scripture: Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Practice Your Faith

These are daily and weekly discipleship actions. Take steps to apply God’s Word in real-world contexts.

When: Throughout the week.

Focus: Live out your faith by intentionally practicing biblical principles.

  • Set specific goals: serve someone in need, share the Gospel, or demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways.
  • Apply the week’s sermon to your daily life.
  • Sacrifice your time, talent and treasure (tithes and offerings)
  • Dedicate time to spiritual disciplines like giving, fasting and forgiving others.

Key Scripture: James 1:22 “Do no merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
