We are praising God for all the amazing things we’ve been able to do and see as a church over the past few years. We believe that God has more in store and we want to do everything we can to serve those God has called us to serve.

As we look toward 2024 the mission and vision remain the same, to Connect the Love of Christ to the Heart of our Community. We want to reach all those that call New Jersey home while still continuing to love and serve our brothers and sisters across the globe.

This years’ Heart for the House offering will be used to do just that, to reach and serve those who desperately need the love of Christ.

We will generously use this offering in three unique ways…Compassion, Construction and Changed Lives! Each of these is explained below in more detail so you can be a part of making a difference.

Showing Compassion

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭36‬

Jesus has compassion for people…all people. That’s why we’re investing a portion of our Heart for the House offering into showing compassion for people that need hope.

We’ll be doing this through a partnership with Convoy of Hope. As part of our partnership, we’ll be taking $5,000 to purchase a semi-truck full of food that we’ll be giving out into our community in the new year. Addressing the food insecurities in our community is important to us and this is just one way we’ll be addressing that with our Heart for the House offering.

We’ll be designating another $10,000 with Convoy of Hope to invest in women’s initiatives as well as other outreach opportunities to spread hope where it is needed most.

Community Garden

This year, our Heart for the House offering is taking a leap of faith, just like when Jesus multiplied five loaves of bread and two fish to feed 5,000 hungry souls. We are excited to invite you to join us in expanding our Feeding the 5k ministry to new horizons – the creation of a thriving community garden.

Embracing the timeless wisdom of “Teach a man to fish,” we’re sowing the seeds of sustainability, creating a secure and stable source of nourishment for our community and anticipate creating learning environments as well. This initiative embodies the spirit of generosity, as we come together to not only feed our neighbors but also empower them to cultivate community and even their own food. While we want to grow food here, we want to grow community.

In this garden, we will witness the miracle of transformation, where things grow and flourish. Together, we’ll cultivate a stronger, more vibrant community where people will has access to fresh food. Join us in this new endeavor with our Heart for the House offering for a truly impactful year.

Building Improvements

The Heart for the House initiative is a pivotal opportunity for us to actively engage in the construction and enhancement of our church facilities, with a focus on building improvements. As a vibrant and passionate congregation, we are committed to creating environments that radiate excellence and are warm and inviting to all who enter our doors.

Our goal is to honor God through our facilities, recognizing that the physical space in which we worship and fellowship plays a crucial role in reaching others and spreading the message of Jesus. By actively participating in this effort, we demonstrate our dedication to creating a place where everyone can find spiritual nourishment, feel a sense of belonging, and experience God.

Through the Heart of the House offering, we will be making significant investments in our church. A few of these updates will include installing a new sign in the front of our property, a dedicated space for our volunteers, addressing leaks in the roof in our children’s building and fixing some doors and windows that are in need of repair.

We invite you to join us in this exciting endeavor, as together, we work towards building improvements that will truly honor God and serve as a testament to our commitment to excellence in all that we do.

Changed Lives

Ultimately, Heart for the House is about seeing lives changed through the love of Jesus!

Another way we invest in changed lives is through our annual Night to Shine event. This year will mark our fifth year doing this amazing event for our special needs friends and community. It is a special night where we spoil and pamper those who are down and out and need a little bit of hope. We plan on taking $15,000 of our Heart for the House offering and making sure that Night to Shine is over the top for our honored guests.

We’ll also be taking an additional $10,000 to invest in our community through outreach events and meeting the needs of others with the goal of seeing their lives changes through showing the love of Jesus.
